The newest exhibit for 2010 showcases the Barbary Lion Cub exhibit. These lions are quite special as the species is extinct in the wild. Born in January 2010, the female lion cubs have made the Texas Zoo their home. The goal of their existence is to continue species conservation efforts and hopefully the ability for the females to be bred, further continuing the existence of Barbary Lions.
